Our Resilient World explores a practical question:

What can we do together because AI now exists?

AI will not decide our values or build the future for us. But it can help ordinary people understand complex systems, compare evidence, explore different futures and cooperate in ways that were previously beyond our reach.

My working hypothesis is that the major challenges of the next decade—including climate disruption, ageing populations, geopolitical instability, inequality and rapid technological change—are increasingly interconnected. Our existing institutions will struggle to manage them unless we develop faster, more adaptive and more cooperative ways of understanding problems and acting on them.

The destination is not a perfect future. It is a more resilient world by 2035: better able to anticipate shocks, preserve what matters, recover when systems fail and adapt as circumstances change.

The foundation article, Our Resilient World: Why AI gives us our first real opportunity to build a more resilient world, explains why I believe AI can help people cooperate at the scale of the problems we face—while people remain responsible for values, goals and final decisions.

Evidence-led research

I publish evidence-led research for decisions that can change when the evidence changes. Each report separates the research question, the evidence-supported finding, its limitations and the evidence that could change the result. The intention is not to defend a fixed position. It is to create a transparent and revisable public record.

The first public case study examines Australia, AI, jobs and entry/re-entry work to 2035. It includes the series result and bounded extracts from Reports 1–3.

AI Product Flow framework and guides — in development

I am also developing AI Product Flow, a working family of guides for starting, judging, governing and improving AI-enabled work.

AI can accelerate production. AI Product Flow is intended to keep purpose, evidence, acceptance, learning and human accountability visible—so faster output does not become faster waste.

The guide family currently includes:

- the AI Implementation Guide for starting safely;

- the AI Product Guide for deciding whether one product or workflow is worth building;

- the AI Product Family Guide for coordinating related products and shared capabilities;

- the AI Portfolio Guide for deciding which AI bets to fund, stop, narrow or review; and

- the AI Knowledge Management Guide, currently being developed through evidence and case studies.

The guides are being written and tested together. They remain private working material while the case studies and evidence streams are strengthened. I will publish them only when the evidence supports the claims being made. nhHuman judgement remains at every gate.

How I work

I use AI as a research, analysis, design and production partner. AI can help organise evidence, challenge assumptions, compare alternatives and turn an idea into something that can be tested.

I remain accountable for the questions, values, judgements, accepted content and decisions to publish. Where possible, the work shows its evidence, limitations and revision history so that readers can understand not only the conclusion, but how it was reached.

About me

I’m Rick Molony. My background includes system thinking, agile and lean business transformation and architecture, public-sector change, programme delivery and product thinking. I am exploring two connected questions: what it means to live well through a period of accelerating change, and how AI might help people take a more active role in building the future they want to see.

Our Resilient World is an exploration, not a finished blueprint. I welcome evidence, thoughtful disagreement and people willing to help test better ways forward.
